Partially enameled silver multi-lobed vase decorated with gold lacquer reserves and inlays in the shibayama style, Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) Baluster-shaped with a double-curved flared pavilion neck, the shoulder decorated in relief with six elephant heads beneath which turn six curved gold-lacquered wood reserves, each with a different decoration inlaid with mother-of-pearl and various tinted materials with motifs of flowers, birds, branches and flowering baskets.
