ONE OF 135 EXEMPLIES ACCOMPANIED WITH AN ORIGINAL EAU-FORTE NUMBERED AND SIGNED BY WIFREDO LAM, this being one of 35 hors commerce. The etching is on japon nacré. PRECIOUS EXAMPLE BY THE PREFACIER YVON TAILLANDIER, including on the first white endpaper, this beautiful autograph dedication signed by Wifredo Lam, around a large and beautiful original drawing by the artist, all in red ink: Pour Jacqueline et Yvon Taillandier // à la santé de ce livre // 50/100 Yvon-Wifredo, // which will remain a witness // to our friendship // Lam // 10 - 1 1971 Taillandier later offered it to one of his publisher friends, and added a second double leaf with the false title of the preface, which he covered entirely on two pages with a beautiful original gouache signed, dedicated and dated 2005.
