Edition illustrated with numerous borders, arabesques and lettering printed in color and gold, as well as 20 beautiful plates composed after Léon CARRÉ (1878-1942), stenciled and gilded under a captioned serpente. Limited edition of 500 numbered copies. This is one of those printed in addition to the numbered edition, on vellum vellum paper for Franz Toussaint. A very fine copy in Lucien Durvand's contemporary binding, enriched with the specimen of a page of text and an illustration with its captioned serpente. Small black marks on boards.
