Almost entirely in French, with the exception of the first two or three words of each prayer (printed in Hebrew and transcribed phonetically according to the pronunciation of the Jews of Bayonne and Bordeaux), this collection, reprinted several times in the 19th century, bears witness to the French acculturation of communities of Marrano origin from the end of the 18th century onwards (wear to the headpieces and hinges, with tiny worm work to the upper spine box; inside very fresh).
