KARAISM
Abraham b. Isaac de Troki, Sefer Hizuq Emuna (חזוק אמונה - Strengthening the Faith), Amsterdam, unnamed, 1705. Contemporary half-binding in black morocco and marbled paper, wet, spotted.
Rare Jewish edition of an anti-Christian polemical treatise written in the 16th century by the Lithuanian Karaite rabbi Abraham de Troki. The Jewish edition is more complete than the one published by Wagenseil in his Tela ignea Satanae in 1680. The printer's name is omitted, probably for fear of prosecution.
