"Messieurs les Souscripteurs pour la Machine aérostatique, dirigée par M. de Montgolfier, l'aîné, sont prévenus qu'elle sera enlevée, Samedi matin 10 Janvier 1784, si le temps le permet". Boxes will be drawn to serve as warnings. Silence is to be maintained in the enclosure "so that the workers can hear the orders"... On verso, handwritten notice that "unforeseen circumstances" will prevent the machine from being removed on Saturday. A notice will be given indicating the new departure. It will not be possible to enter the premises this Saturday "so that the workers can work in peace"...
