Koumiyya dagger, Morocco, early 20th century A dagger with a curved steel blade topped by a horn spindle with silver "gendarme hat" trim, highlighted by a silver ring. The scabbard, also in silver, is flanked by side suspension rings trimmed with black textile cord, and ends in a bulbous stinger. All silver parts feature molded and engraved plant decoration, and a cartouche is engraved with an Arabic inscription on the scabbard. Total length: 41 cm; gross weight: 587 g Slight traces of rust and oxidation on the blade, suspension cord worn and partly detached.
