Large Hispano-Moorish dish in lustre-ware, Spain, Manises, 19th century Circular earthenware dish with central umbilicus, decorated with molded and painted copper metallic lustre on a white background and enhanced with cobalt blue. The umbilicus is molded with swirling scrolls highlighted in blue and surrounded by a cavet painted with poly-lobed medallions on a crosshatched background, followed by a marli decorated with alternately lustrous and blue molded fleurons and foliage. Back painted with a few lustrous motifs. Diameter: 39.5 cm Two suspension holes, a few chips.
