Covered pot, Iran qâjâr, 19th century A campaniform vessel on a high circular pedestal, closed by a domed lid with bulbous grip, in steel with engraved decoration enhanced by gold and silver inlays. The ensemble features kneeling figures in a floral design framed by gilded garlands and punctuated by poly-lobed medallions with gold-embellished inscriptions. Engraved inscriptions in cartouches run along the top of the body and the base of the lid. Height: 37 cm Traces of rust and oxidation, slight dents.
