Cylindrical legs in ash, joined under the seats by cruciform braces. The curved back bands are in solid ash; the upper edges are profiled. The seats are mulched. Used condition, six straw covers redone. Height: 76 cm - Length: 42 cm - Depth: 42 cm Provenance : Succession X., Mantes-la-Ville. Acquired from Galerie Steph Simon around 1960. This suite of chairs was part of a complete interior designed by decorator Nicolas Guérin for Mr. and Mrs. X., comprising a set of furniture by Charlotte Perriand (Tokyo banquette, two Berger stools, table à gorges and our suite of chairs) completed by a wall lamp by Serge Mouille and a piece of furniture by André Chetaille and presented under the previous and following numbers of this sale.
