The three-slat shaft, the gallows for the storage tray, the tie rack and the reception desk are in stained and ceruse-stained oak. The hanger and height-adjustable, fold-down shelf are covered in red leather. The side tie racks, height-adjustable shelf cleats and cylindrical tie rack spacers are in brass. The base, forming a shoe-rest, in gilded tubular brass. Early edition. Used condition, leather parts worn, patina of the base badly altered, the shaft-base junction to be reattached, an accident reattached to one end of the hanger and another to the shelf anchor. Stamped P. DUPRÉ-LAFON in cold iron at the bottom of the central blade of the shaft.
