An ancient edan rattle in bronze, decorated at each end with Janus heads framed by grelots, the upper one wearing a crescent-shaped headdress, the handle is elegantly decorated with geometric motifs. Yoruba, Nigeria, 19th century Metal (copper alloy), grelots visibly missing, nice old oxidation and very nice old patina.
