A very old and large female anthropomorphic statue displaying all the canons of beauty in Pounou country, asserting itself both by the serenity of the face with its filtering gaze and by the traditional double-shelled chignon headdress, magnifying the ideal appearance of the "ancestor woman" in the offering position. Of particular note is the beautiful treatment of the curves in the sculpture of the legs, clearly showing the influence of Tsangui art. The "Tsangui country" is very close to the place where this work was found, around Divénié, among the Pounou of Congo.
