Heritage Red and Black Snake: The Heritage collection reflects the vision and pioneering spirit that have characterized Montblanc since the beginning of its history. The Simplo Filler Pen Co. company, founded in 1906, marketed a model of its own called Rouge et Noir, French being in vogue at the time. This was a black ebonite fountain pen topped by a coral-colored cap head, and featured a sliding sleeve nib exit mechanism, a technical achievement that enabled simple use without the need to dip the nib into the inkwell. The 2016 edition reinterprets the old model, featuring a longer silhouette and modern technology. Limited series of 1906 (number 89). In metal-coated black ebonite with screw cap and aged metal attributes. A sinuous snake drapes around the end of the cap, its diamond-shaped head forming the clasp. The snake's eyes are made of ruby. The top of the cap is crowned by the Montblanc emblem on a coral-colored background. The old Montblanc engraving, powdered white, separated by the triangular mountain design, adorns one side of the cap. The nib is in rhodium-plated 14-carat yellow gold, decorated with a finely engraved snake. The section block is in brushed metal. Piston filling system. In its wooden box with papers and over-box.
