Caucasian dagger from Dagestan. Mount and scabbard in finely chased silver with foliate scrolls and niello decoration. Lion-headed cap with short squared skirt. Title and goldsmith's hallmark. Strong damascus blade with median edge, hallmarked at the heel. Scabbard ending in the head of a fantastic animal. B.E. Late 19th century, early 20th century
