The attablé gourmand, napkin around his neck, appeared in 1911 for André Loison preserves (Rennert, p. 144, no. 209); he would end up in majesty, floating on a red background, his knotted napkin forming bunny ears (brilliant find!) immediately identifiable as the "bonhomme Savora". In the meantime, he designed a poster for Devambez oil (probably nothing to do with his publisher), with our gourmet enthusiastic about receiving his oil direct from the factory. This poster, whose design was finalized with the text, is not, however, listed in Jack Rennert's book.
