Bibliography :
Rennert, p. 109, no. 134.

In 1921, Cappiello enjoyed one of his greatest popular successes with the poster for Café Martin, featuring a turbaned Turk floating in the coffee vapors emanating from a giant cup... (Rennert, p. 221, no. 344). In fact, he invented this character in 1907 (Rennert, p. 109, no. 134), and sold it to Los Mandarines, an Argentine merchant. A classic poster, the typography well-organized around the Turk that stands out against a dark background. It's worth noting that, in the midst of the colonial period and unlike others, Cappiello never depicted blacks or Arabs with racist connotations.
