André Malraux, before he joined the NRF publishing house, and his friend Louis Chevasson, published this book under their Aldes imprint. The spines of the volumes are marked "Aux Aldes chez Grasset". One of the hors commerce copies, this one on Hollande laid paper from Papeteries Pannekoek. Some wear to slipcases and folders.
