PIERRE DUNAND (1914-1996) FOR M. GÉNU-DELATTRE Japanese fish, circa 1950, very probably one-of-a-kind. Fully lacquered desk; plum for the frame and base, coral for the front. The quadrangular body rests on a rectangular pedestal-type base. The front opens with two full leaves, topped by a flap and a drawer. The title decoration, in lacquer and gold leaf, straddles the center between the flap and the two full doors. The flap reveals a parchment-covered blotter and an interior of drawers and niches. Used condition, minor stains. Signed Pierre DUNAND and marked M. GÉNU-DELATTRE and lower right of the title decoration.
