Sade undertakes that Martin will be paid on July 4: "Let Mr. Martin, who is said to be so rich, not come and bother for a fortnight a poor patient who has been in bed for twenty-two days and who since then has neither eaten nor spoken four words, except those of the state of transport in which she has been three times"...
