Rodolphe Bresdin (1822-1875) La Sainte Famille à la perche. 1858-1866. Etching. 103x50. Van Gelder 91. Fine proof trimmed to the subject and pasted on strong vellum bearing the stamp of P. A. Regnault (Lugt 2069a) and annotations in pencil in his hand - on the right obliquely below the subject: "La Ste Famille/près du ruisseau; R. Bresdin/20" and at the foot of the sheet on the left: "acheté de Paul Bresdin/6/5/29 P. A. R.Nice". Very slight surface tearing (during printing, probably due to the viscosity of the ink). Fine and long oblique tear formerly restored across the folio (in the rocks and tree), with small repeats in sepia ink. Very rare.
