Volunteer officer's "climbing lion" saber. Leather handle with filigree. Brass mounting, helmet cap, "climbing lion" guard, eagle-head plate (one repair). Flat-backed curved blade with gutter. Later leather scabbard with three cut brass fittings. Iron sting. Varnished. A.B.E. Revolutionary period.
