Long flintlock pommel gun. Round barrel with flat top and thunderbolt. Lock signed "Formentin Abville" and round-bodied swan-neck hammer. Round iron bail. Cut-out brass fittings. Ornate trigger guard to the front. S-shaped counterplate. Strong long-eared pommel with domed nail. Walnut frame. Long stock, reinforced with brass at the end and two ramrod loops. Inlaid heart-shaped thumbpiece. Interesting carved marking on the back of the stock of a sword wearing a Phrygian cap and marked "Le Puy". Wooden ramrod with horn tip. B.E.
