Rifleman's saber from the year IV. Copper-plated brass mounting. Leather-covered wooden handle, (wear), copper filigree. Guard with three-and-a-half braches and pomegranate shell. Small flattened quillon, curved towards the tip. Long, straight, flat-backed blade, stamped at the heel with the lictor's beam. Later leather scabbard with two large, cut-out brass fittings.
