English officer's sword model 1796. Fusée entirely filigree brass. Chased and gilded brass mounting. Pan-shaped pommel. Single-branch guard. Horizontal keyboard and folding counter keyboard. Flat-backed straight blade with hollow sides signed "J.J. Runckel Solingen", engraved with the Royal Cypher "GR" and the Great British Arms. Leather belt with three brass fittings (wear, later bolt).
