Chasseurs à cheval officer's saber, model 1792. Full brass filigree handle. Brass mounting. Single-branch hilt with diamond-shaped lugs. Curved blade with flat back, hollow sides and gutter. Later turret with two large brass fittings, cut and hollowed out in leather reinforced with two splints. Asymmetrical iron sting. A.B.E. Later scabbard. Late 18th century.
