ROGER FALCK (1903-1973)
Musée de l'Homme, 1938
Chromolithograph. Not canvas-backed. Imp. Bedos et cie. Signed and dated upper left. 80x58cm
(Very rare! Good condition).

Roger Falck was the museum's "in-house poster artist" - he signed nine of them. He was also head of the museography department. He chose a photograph of a bronze from Benin, behind which he drew a globe. To avoid polluting the image, he placed the obligatory information in the margins, using the system invented by Cassandre in 1927 for the Chemins de fer du Nord.
