As this hunt was too expensive, he sold part of it and kept only 4 rifles for himself and his friends. "But as I'm doing 1° an opening on August 30 at Valmont - another on February 1 at Yvetot, and a 3rd on the 2nd at Bolbec, I won't be back here until the evening of the 3rd". He therefore expects his friends (de Vaux, Mourier and Franconi) to hunt on the 4th. "If Madame de Vaux would like to accompany you, I would be very happy to offer you my 2 guest rooms"....
