In 1925, at the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs, Süe and Mare presented a piece of salon furniture entitled "Paul et Virginie". Based on cartoons by Charles Dufresne, the set was a great success. Our work, dating from 1923-1924, is a design by the artist for the cushion of one of the bergères in this set.
