Reynaldo HAHN (1874-1947). Partially autograph musical manuscript, Habanera, [1933-1934 ?] ; 10 pages in-fol. This piece is part of the unfinished operetta La Corsaire, based on a libretto by Alfred Savoir (1883-1934), in which Virginie, a descendant of the privateer Surcouf, builds up a male harem. The manuscript of this Habanera, a duet between Hubert and André ( Nous savons par la grande presse ...), for song and piano, was cleaned up by a copyist in black ink. Reynaldo Hahn added, in blue ink, 33 bars for vocal with lyrics, plus 2 final bars for piano accompaniment.
