Dutilleux , inscribed the composer at the bottom of one of the pages of this folio written recto-verso in black ink for large orchestra; it shows erasures and corrections, with passages crossed out, and the note: Faire alterner trombones et trompettes . Dutilleux's Symphonie n°1, the first of the composer's two symphonies, was premiered on June 7, 1951, conducted by Roger Désormière.
