Rare and fine pair of flintlock pommel pistols, convertible into rifles. Round, hair-ribbed barrels with flat tops and thunderbolts, signed "Peniet Cour des Ftassins" on the left and "Au Palais Royal à Paris" on the right. Turntables signed "PENIET à Paris" and round-bodied swan-neck dogs. Safety catches for the dogs on the tails. Round iron spark guards. Steel trimmings, cut and plain. Round knobs. Checkered walnut stocks. The stocks are inlaid on the backs of the rifle conversion system. And a stock for conversion, in walnut, with busk. Steel buttplate, cut-out, line-edged.
