Officer's sword from the Kingdom of Savoy. Copper-plated brass mounting, single-branch guard and ring. Fusée covered with silver-plated metal imitating filigree. Flat-backed straight blade engraved with "VIVE LE ROI" and the great arms of Savoy, hollow sides. Black-painted sheet-iron scabbard, brass cap, strap and bolt. A.B.E. (Oxidation). Circa 1830.
