Two carved cores, China, 19th century One depicts Libai asleep near a jar of liquor on which is engraved an excerpt from one of his poems "entering the wine", 古来圣贤皆寂寞，惟有饮者留其名, gǔ lái shèng xián jiē jì mò, wéi yǒu yǐn zhě liú qí míng, "The wise and virtuous, through the ages, have all been alone and solitary, only the drinkers have left the mark of their name". The other depicts one of the Taoist immortals, Zhang Gyulao, holding a yu gu. Height: 3.8 and 4 cm
