Guanyin in Chinese white porcelain, China, Dehua, 17th century Depicted seated in dhyanasana on a rock, she is dressed in a pleated robe, open on the chest, and adorned with a long pearl necklace. Her face is serene, her eyes downcast, and her hair is gathered into a bun, topped with a tiara and covered with a cloth. She is surrounded by two stone columns on which rests a vase and a parrot. Standing at her feet on the lower part of the rock are her two acolytes LongNü, holding the Pearl of Light, and ShanCai TonZi, hands in adoration.
