ITALY ROME 1871 Covered silver drageoir or bowl complete with lining, formerly gilded on the inside. It rests on a circular pedestal embossed with ovals and darts, then gadroons, ending in a shell on which are four putti in the round playing on dolphins and goats, putti in recall on the handles and lid. The bowl is embossed with quivers and acanthus leaves framing an unengraved medallion on either side. The lid is embossed with Neo-Renaissance motifs on an amatized background.
