"circa 1885 Two napkins in the imitation of two folded damask napkins, hinged in the middle, rest on a plate with filets and six contours in silver-plated metal. Perfect condition of the silvering Hallmarks on reverse: CHRISTOFLE in all letters, number 1014342. Plate diameter: 28 cms - height: 6 cms This plate is emblematic of Christofle's electroplated production. The original model dates from 1868. The Musée d'Orsay holds a copy under inventory number OAO 2086 under the titles: "Assiette à marrons chauds" and/or "Assiette à œufs".
