CHAGALL (Marc) - ARAGON (Louis).
Celui qui dit les choses sans rien dire.
Paris: Maeght, 1976. -In-folio, 475x360: 124 pp, (6 ff. last 2 blank), printed cover. Leaves, filled cover, in publisher's blue cloth slipcase.

Particularly sought-after first edition, illustrated with 25 original unsigned full-page color etchings and aquatints by Marc CHAGALL (1887-1985).
A fine collection of 25 poems written as a tribute to the artist.
The edition was printed in an edition of 205 copies, plus a few copies hors commerce, signed by the author and the artist at the justification.
This one, one of the 180 with no sequel, is quite precious; it was embellished at the time on the title with a fine original color drawing by Marc Chagall, depicting a vase filled with flowers, above which a bird is flying, and with two curved blue and red fillets at two corners. The drawing is accompanied by this autograph dedication:
 Pour Le // Docteur // Aboulker // en bon // Souvenir // Marc // Chagall // 1976
Stain on one corner of the slipcase, otherwise a very well-preserved copy.
