JEAN SOUVRAIN (20th CENTURY) An identical model presented at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs, Paris, 1955 Asymmetrical kidney-shaped desk in oak and oak veneer with a double top. The suspended pedestal holds two drawers and a pull; the top of the pedestal and drawer fronts are veneered in original black melamine. The legs, one of which forms a vertical brace, are profiled. The top edges are chamfered on the underside. Used condition, some veneer chips, fastening reinforcements.
