LOUIS MAJORELLE (1859-1926) Mahogany and mahogany veneer display cabinet. The quadrangular body opens with a central glass door (accommodating two glass shelves), 4 drawers and 2 solid doors. The front features two large decorative reserves in patinated wrought-iron with floral motifs and a decorative frieze in precious wood and mother-of-pearl marquetry. The drawer knobs are also in patinated wrought-iron with floral motifs. The four high Gaine-style legs with stepped capitals are joined by a crotch shelf.
