Attached is a printed poster announcing the rental of a Grand et bel hotel tout meublé, rue de Sèves. Invoice from Cavillier frères, merchants in Paris, for the supply of clothes and sheets for "Monsieur le Marquis de Sades", dated September 28, 1769. The Marquise de Sade stops this bill "pour estre payes dans le courant de juillet", and signs it "Launay de Sade". Cavillier had trouble getting paid; a note on the back indicates that he wrote to Abbé Amblet on February 11, 1772. The bill was paid on November 3, 1778, by the President de Montreuil (mother-in-law of the Marquis, then imprisoned in Vincennes), as indicated by the receipt signed by Cavillier at the bottom of the memoir. Attached is a printed poster announcing the rental of a Grand et bel hotel tout meublé, rue de Sèves [Sèvres], grande porte cochere vis-à-vis celle de l'Abbaye aux Bois, [1779], with a handwritten note on the side: "J'ai reçue la somme de 12 livres pour 300 affiches pareilles à la présente, plus pour l'afficheur celle de quatre livres dix sous", August 3, 1779, Imprimerie de Prault; the hotel belonged to the Sade-Montreuil family.
