Extremely rare clandestine leaflet constituting an offprint of the newspaper "Libération", containing General Charles de Gaule's declaration of June 1942. It "defines the aims of the war that France is pursuing under his command". It begins as follows: "The last veils under which the enemy and treason operated against France are now torn. The stakes in this war are clear to all Frenchmen: independence or slavery. It is the sacred duty of every Frenchman to do his utmost to help liberate his homeland by crushing the invader.
