First edition of this novel, a logical sequel to "À rebours" (1884) and an introduction to "En route" (1895). A copy of the current print run, enriched with this autograph dispatch signed by the author on the false title: " A. M. Demesse // Cordially // JKHuysmans". This dedication is undoubtedly addressed to the novelist and journalist Henri Demesse (1854-1908). A fine copy bound by Stroobants. Rousseurs.
