Paris : Prault fils, 1745. - In-12, anthracite gray calf, boards decorated with Duseuil-style cold decoration, spine ribbed with cold fillets, interior gilt roulette, gilt edges (Thivet). In-12 edition published the same year as the original in-8, of this comedy first performed at the Comédie française on April 27, 1744. It ends with a poem by the author entitled "Compliment au roy". A fine copy bound in the last third of the 19th century by Thivet for the bibliophile P. Guy Pellion, who had assembled an important collection of first editions of literary works from the 15th to the 17th century, sold in 1882. Used rubbing to spine and edges of boards. Provenance: P.
