[MANUSCRIT].
Compendium of horography.
S.l., late 17th/early 18th century. - In-4, unbound.

Very fine antique manuscript written in black and red ink, both scientific and technical, offering over 250 pages a compendium of knowledge on sundials, including a "Traitté de la sphère", how to make and use the sciathère (sundial needle), a "Traitté de l'astrolabe" with how to build and use it, a "Traicté des météores", etc. It ends with a section on winds, which is an important part of the compendium. It concludes with a section on winds, which is incomplete here.

It includes numerous drawings and diagrams, often in several colors.

Unbound copy, lacking the first leaf, which certainly included the title, and the last few leaves, which include at least the rest of the chapter on winds. One of the leaves (92) is cut at the top, with the text on the verso and the figure on the recto missing. First page soiled. Some figures have been slightly cut by the bookbinder.
