Amphora, Tunisia, Nabeul, El-Kharraz workshop, circa 1920-40 Amphora with pyriform body, cylindrical neck arched then widened and swollen lip, flanked by two curved handles. In earthenware, decorated with "peacock eye" arcatures in the center of the body and punctuated with poly-lobed medallions trimmed with rosettes. The handle is streaked with brown, the foot decorated with ocelli and chevrons. Inscribed in Arabic on the lower part of the body "El-Kharraz Nabeul" and stamped under the base. On tripod metal base.
