Five chahar-aina armor plates, Iran qâjâr, 19th century Plates known as "the four mirrors" in acid-etched steel, chased and inlaid with gold. The set includes three plates for the chest and sides of the bust, and two plates for the legs. On each plate, the decoration is divided into four medallions with figures in full battle scenes on two of them, bordered by an epigraphic frieze in kufic script, and surmounted by crowned sovereigns surrounded by their court on the three flower-tipped plates.
