Russian officer's helmet from the chevalier-garde regiment. Brass bomb, hallmarked under the eagle and topped with the silver-plated copper double-headed eagle (wear and repairs). Star plate surmounted by enameled plate with painted eagle. Chinstraps with flat scales and silvered rim. Painted metal cockade. Inner headpiece in natural leather and blue canvas, mounted on wicker piping. Neck guard lined with red velvet and visor lined with black leather. Height: 37.5 cm A.B.E. Early 20th century (minor dents to the bomb and dent to the crown of the two-headed eagle).
