Volunteer infantry officer's saber with revolving hilt. Handle entirely copper filigree. Brass mounting with long tang. Guard with two openwork branches, one of which is spring-loaded. Curved blade with flat back, counter-edge and hollow sides. Leather scabbard (cracked), with two brass fittings. E.M. Revolutionary period.
