SÜE & MARE - LOUIS SUE (1875-1968) & ANDRÉ MARE (1885-1932) - COMPAGNIE DES ARTS FRANÇAIS Mahogany low chair with backrest or "chaise à coiffer", treated in the Antique style. The front legs are fluted, the rear legs are Sabre-type and extend into backsplash uprights. The back has two side plates with stylized scrolls at the top and bottom. The seat and backrest originally upholstered in a fabric printed after a probable cartoon by Paul Véra. Circa 1920-25. Used condition, accidents, missing parts, restorations, upholstery in poor condition.
